With all the new trails available at Bay's Mountain, it's time to integrate these into the annual Bay's Mountain Bicycle Rally Race Course.   The race wil be held on Monday, July 19th at 5:30p.m. with the Family Fun Ride being held at 6:15p.m.

For 2010, the course will begin at the usual spot above the dam on Lake Road.  Racers will then head toward Leadbetter Gap turning right uphill on Lake Road to Feagins Gap.  At the Feagans Gap intersection intersection, turn right again following Lake Road.  Just after the Turkey Food Plot and across from the entiance to Sweet Gum Trail, you will enter the NTMBA built Chinquapin Trail on the left.  Follow Chinquapin Trail for just under 2 miles until it intersects Big Oak Trail.  Take a right on Big Oak and you will spill back onto the Lake Road again.  As in previous years, racers will continue on Lake Road past the Maintenance Shed then turn uphill on Bays Mountain Road.  Continue on BMR for approximately 1.6 miles until you hit River Mountain Road which will take you back to the fire tower.  About 3/10ths of a mile past the Fire Tower you will take a right at the intersection of River Mountain Road and Indian Pipes Trail.  Continue just over half a mile to Bear Run Trail and take a left.  Ber Run will empty out on River Mountain Road again wher you take a right heading back down to the Lake Road intersection at Feagins Gap.  Take a left at Feagins Gap onto Lake Road and continue until you finish at the Maintenance Shed.    Set your bike down and enjoy the food.  Happy Racing.

Adult registration on or before July 16th is $10 and $13 thereafter.  Children 12 and under are $5.
